Thanksgiving Day (Fourth Thursday in November) Mardi Gras Day (Tuesday before Ash Wednesday) Please note, except for emergencies, our offices are closed on Saturdays, Sundays and the following holidays: Travel Mileage is payed for only one location.Scheduled office hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. You are expected to travel to its other two location nice thing is the supervisor always asks doesn’t just throw you there. Which in my opinion if you le asking is because you rather ask then mess up and get the doctor upset they see it as your stupid. When you ask for help they expect you to know what your doing. Although when you start working here you feel unwanted sometimes by most of the techs, there rude they always have something negative to say about every new person, or talk about how dumb you are if your not catching up to there training fast enough. The techs Supervisor is great, understanding and always there to help. Man in HR is really nice and understanding which at most jobs there not. They’re very few Spanish speakers that are needed a lot but don’t get paid a little more for being bilingual. People with a MA Diploma get payed the same as people without a Diploma I don’t think that’s fair. Pay isn’t enough for everything your expected to do, I believe they should pay more. Overall, if you have the chance to work with Retina Associates, grab on and don't let go. There isn't a Union present but the potential for formation is there and the staff is educated and driven enough to pursue one if they see fit. Pay is slightly below standard for the field, but there is absolutely room for growth. There tends to be a slight breakdown in communication, work standards, and expectations between the offices (East, Northwest, and Green Valley), and the fast pace/surgical nature of the clinic can be stressful at times. I have not ever seen and doubt I will ever see a company go so far to take care of its staff. Additionally, during the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the providers at this practice took personal pay hits to ensure that none of the staff was let go and half could stay home with pay while operating the clinic on skeleton crew at minimum capacity. Managers and Supervisors try to be as understanding and lenient as possible with days off, sick time, childcare, and healthcare. The physicians and management very much care about their employees, and are willing to go above and beyond for the people running their clinic. Training for scribing is difficult but rewarding, and the knowledge and experience gained with this company is unparalleled in its field. The patient load is split as evenly as possible and scribes work well with each other to maintain clinic pace and note quality. Work consists of working with a team of 2-3 scribes per doctor to manage 45-60 patients/day.
